How To Train Your Dragon

Reviewed by Tilly 9yrs. old - Tween Book Reviewer and Sometimes Writer

How to Train Your Dragon is a novel about a boy called Hiccup who lives in a village with Vikings and Dragons. Him and his little group of kids, 13 or 12 year old boys, have to train a baby dragon.

Hiccup is not much of a Viking and his Dragon Toothless never listens to him. What makes being hopeless at being a Viking worse, is his dad is the Chief of the Vikings and expects Hiccup to do well. He's under a lot of pressure!

This book is nothing like the movie (there is no girl for him to fall in love with). I loved the movie but the book was good too. How to Train Your Dragon was very funny and a little bit sad.

I rate this book:

I've found a great papercraft for your dragon paper doll. On the movie website you can download 3D dragons to cut out and create, as well as many other activities. Here is toothless:

The Garden Of Empress Cassia

Reviewed by Tilly 9yrs. old - Tween Book Reviewer and Sometimes Writer

The Garden of Empress Cassia is about a girl called Mimi who lives in a smelly shop. Mimi's family was Chinese, so that made her half Chinese (she lives in Australia). Mimi loves to draw, but her dad did not like her to draw. One day her art teacher, Miss O'Dell, gave her some pastels: The Garden of Empress Cassia pastels. Then her life changed forever.

This book is good, I find that it needs the numbers of the chapters (I think it should have this because people like to know how many chapters in the book and how many they've read). But what I like about the book is there are great pictures and there are good names for the chapters, for instance, one of them is called Awakening the Dragon. Who doesn't like a dragon?

I rate this book...

CHASERS

Chasers (Alone)
Chasers by James Phelan

"FOUR TEENAGERS.ONE DESTROYED CITY. THOUSANDS OF INFECTED PREDATORS".
Chasers by James Phelan is the first book in the Alone series. The story is told from the point of view of Jesse a teenage boy, on a UN camp with his three friends Dave, Anna and Mini. Then suddenly there is a giant explosion and the hole train gets rocked. This is all in the first chapter!
Chasers is a horror book that at first seems like a zombie book but it is much more complicated than that.
I Looooooove this book so much(while my friend was reading it I 'accidentally' scared her) and it was soooooooooooo scary. Which makes it awesome!
I think this the best read so I give it out of 5 paper dolls:
Chasers is going to be BIG. So you should read it because this book is for EVERYONE! And I hope that it is made in to a movie!!!
